One Squidoo Lens, One month, $1,000

For the first time today, one of my lenses has made me over $1,000 in a month. Not all of my lenses, one. This is a huge milestone for me and I’m super duper excited about it!
It’s taken me almost a year of steady lensbuilding ( 11 months to the day to be exact ) to get to this point and I have to say, things are looking like they are only going to snowball from here. Last month I began to have my first few $100 days from just revenue generated from squidoo. This was hugely exciting and began to show what really happens once you reach that ‘critical mass’ of lenses.
Now I’ve earned $1,000 in a 30 day period from a single lens. That is also very very cool.
Will the earnings from this lens carry on forever? I doubt it.
Will I be able to use the lessons I’ve learned from this lens and the nearly 400 others I’ve built to continue to build lenses that make money? You betcha.
The best advice I have? Learn, Innovate, and be stubborn. Keep working at your ‘Squidoo skills’ and it will pay off for you.
Of course, I created a lens about my $1,000 / month Squidoo lens and what it took to get there that tells a little bit of the story if you would like to check it out.
What’s my next goal? Earning $1,000 a day with squidoo.
Plus, I just had to try the ‘grab a plexo’ feature since I’d never used it before so here goes:
Feel free to ask questions, but for obvious reasons I probably won’t answer ‘what lens is it?’ and other similar questions but I’d be more than happy to answer more general ones.

I just had one of my lenses break the $1000.00 dollar mark this month too…and it is definitely exciting to watch one lens make that kind of money for you!

Congratulations Captain Squid! That’s quite an accomplishment. I have a lens (in another account) that made me $1050 but that was over a 3 month period. Your accomplishment would make a nice info-product if how you did it can be duplicated.

Hey Captain Squid, this is fantastic news. One day I hope to be a Giant Squid but I’m still a Squidling with just 10 lenses, not enough to organise into categories yet on (what will be) my lensography.
What amazes me is how quickly some of you enormous Squid have put together hundreds of lenses, wow, that’s dedication.
This little Squidlet in the nursery looks at you with huge admiration.
Now I know why they call you Captain Squid. Big ups to you Captain. Your an inspiration to marketers like myself who on occassion feel as though I’m hitting my head on a brick wall, until someone like you comes along and steers me in the right direction.

Congrats!! I have been reading all of your posts over the last few weeks in preparation for diving into lens building and this is by far the most inspiring for me. I am curious about how many hours per day over the last 11 months you have put into your “steady” lens building?

I am pretty impressed with this. I am new to Squidoo and reading your blog has provided me with the inspiration to try and reach this lofty goal. This shows me anything is possible.
