I’m still learning, even though I joined in July 2008. I do like the new addition of the text module with big picture. Too bad it wasn’t there when I was setting up my lenses. It will be something I will use a lot in future lenses.

I really like Featured lenses and use it on almost every lens. I also like Featured Lensmasters, and am learning to use that one.
Twitter search is really fun, but hard to find. lol I have done that one once, too.
I like to try out new modules and see if they are effective…..why not try em all?
Yesterday I found Seth’s blog and another squidoo blog out there in modules

I have to agree with Spirituality on the main reason being to publish; however, it’s probably wise to once in a while look around and see if there is something that will be as useful as the old standbys.

I appreciate this post more than I can say because I didn’t even know there were so many more choices of modules. I’ve only been using the basic ones sofar and was really amazed with countdown module on one of the lenses I’ve been reviewing this morning. Thank you for enlightening me – looks like Squidoo has more pleasant surprises in store for me even though I’ve been enjoying it since the first day…

Thanks for the tip about doing a search with a space. It drives me crazy that if you use the A-Z, you only get a few under each letter rather than all of them. So you have to know the countdown module exists before you could ever use it. I see quite a few now that I’d like to play with!

I agree with Noadi. I use Featured Lenses on almost every lens! Especially when it connects the groups of lenses on my own list. Example – i have 3 wedding lenses – and each lens uses Featured lenses to highlight the other two. I really think it helps traffic.

For me content is more important than trying out modules. I do have google blogsearch as a standard module in my template, along with amazon, featured lens module, guestbook and ‘the most important thing’. None of them terribly unusual, but hey – this isn’t about modules, it’s about an easy publishing platform (for me anyhow) and a great community.

I like the sticky notes module, it’s a great way to make a point and break up large sections of text.
