New Squidoo Workshop. Much Rejoicing throughout the land.
Squidoo HQ officially announced the launch of their new Workshop today. It’s pretty. It’s fast. It looks wayyy more like what you will end up with when you are done.
some juicy little tidbits
Giants Only: Templates can now be inserted directly into a lens. The possibilities for this are huge…
adding popular modules in just a click or two is fantastic. use it.
make sure and check out the ’stats’ button at the top of the page, it has a very slick little AJAX box that pops up and gives you some sweet stats.
The a new module picker is supposedly up next (no release date) but it should be pretty slick if the workshop is any indication.
what do you guys think? was anything left out? Likes? Dislikes?

That’s a good news. I will reopen my squidoo page for this. It was parked for almost 4 months now.

I think that the new workshop is BEAUTIFUL and definitely a time saver. It’s a little easier on the eyes and the brain.
Keep it up Squidoo and keep it Cap’n!

I love being able to move modules without leaving the work area. That was such a disruption to my thought process. Being able to add certain modules without leaving the work area is also good, hopefully the new module picker will eliminate any need to leave the work area until we are finished working.

Love it. Love it. It makes adding/changing things so much faster. And being able to scroll down to make sure you are selecting the correct one to delete or move is excellent. I’m thrilled with the work Giltotherescue and the other squids did.

Oh the new editing program is great! I love being able to add modules and remove modules and move them around so quickly. One of the best things about Squidoo is the constant improvements!

Frankie, did you use the same email that you have registered with your Gravatar account?

I love the new workshop – it’s really convenient and looks good. I found a bug yesterday and reported it – but that’s just part of the growth.

The new workshop’s great – much more efficient and user friendly. I’m really pleased with the changes made. My next suggestion might be a preview box so you can preview how that module will look generically before deciding whether or not to add it to your lens.

I love the new workshop too. It’s great being able to grab another text module on the fly or rearrange them without constantly scrolling to get to another page. It’s a lot quicker.
I wish they would do something with the dashboard so that they weren’t moving all the time, or you could shut off the checkmark box or at least break the long list of modules into groups of 10. It would be easier to find the next one to update when working your way through the list. I only have 38. I don’t know how you manage all of yours…

Thank goodness! Still getting used to it, but this is so much better than the old workshop.

What’s a Gravatar account? lol I guess not.

http://en.gravatar.com/signup is where you sign up. It enables an avatar on any Wordpress blog that has avatars in comments (Including Squidtop!).
You can set up multiple e-mail addys in one account and varying avatars for each e-mail or one avatar to rule them all
.
It’s definitely worth checking out.
