I just came across a new site that allows a fantastic backlink and promotion for your SquidWho Lenses.
The name: Tribbit
Squid Who has been one of the hardest types of lenses for me to promote because it is often difficult to find a forum about a single person.
Tribbit is a brand new web 2.0 site that lets you create free e-cards/Tributes to your favorite people or events. This fits in perfectly with Squid Who as your Squid Who lenses probably cover some of your favorite people.
The Captain now introduces the solution to that problem in 3 easy steps.
- Get a Tribbit Account (They are free and only require an e-mail addy to set up)
- Create a Tribbit about your Squid Who Person - make the title something like ‘A Tribute to Led Zeppelin - the greatest band ever’
- Fill out a one-line introduction about your person
- add a picture (you probably have one on your computer from creating the squid Who lens.)
- Under the section ‘ Add to this Tribbit’ Click on where it says ‘Words’ - When the text box opens up, add a title and the following code Your Lens Title and a few sentences about your lens.
Save it and you are all done! You can share it, add videos, and other fun stuff as well but you already have your backlink and a stream of interested people who will look at as it scrolls down the front page…
So Get Tribbitting!
I can’t believe I give this stuff away….
P.S. If you want another backlink, Post a link to your Tribbit in the comments along with your original lens so we can see.

Thanks for the tip. I just tried it with Adrian Peterson
It’s easy to use and I look forward to playing around more with this site.
Thanks for this. I tried it and added my Dr.Bronner lens. Only thing I was not able to do was add a hyperlink to my page and no info on how to do it at Tribbit. Anyone?

Hey, I tried Tribbit, it wasn’t too painful. Check it out, my Tribbit on Carrie Fisher
