Squidoo Earnings Report May 2008
Okay, Okay, I know I’m late with this but the first few days of the month were crazy go nuts busy.
Overall income saw a bit of a drop this month, but not the end of the world by any means as I had a few new affiliate programs start to pan out after going through a bit of a dry spell for finding new ideas. I actually have a new project that I hatched yesterday that I might share with you folks once it pans out.. we’ll see.
May 2008 Earnings: $1,575.64
In April I was trying out some things with PPC and other marketing methods. While the volume was a little higher, the return I was getting on the PPC wasn’t worth the added risk in my opinion. I may give PPC another shot when the mood strikes me in the future, but not right now.
Earnings did increase by about 10% over March Squidoo earnings.
In other news, one of the Lensmasters that Haunts our Chat Room, Zach, has started a new blog about squidoo – Squidüber. He’s off to a pretty good start, you should drop by and see what he’s talking about or snag his RSS feed. Zach is the co-creator of SquidTop with me and is good for bouncing new Squidoo ideas back and forth. Good luck on the new blog Zack!

Great month!!
I’m not a PPC user, but have tossed the idea around of using it for a lens or two. I just have this thing about paying for traffic.
I imagine others might be interested in details of your PPC experiment. Care to share?

Congrats on your earnings, Captain. Too bad that you took a loss in May, but I’m sure you’ll bounce back
I can agree with you that the returns with PPC sometimes aren’t worth the risk. I’d much rather spend time and be able to sleep at night than spend money and rip my hair out with worry if I’m in the red. Still, PPC can be profitable if done correctly and I might look into it again at a later date.
Also, thanks for the plug!

Hey Captain, it’s great! I only generate $1.59 from Squidoo, the $1500 earning is from squidoo itself or from another affiliate too?

Cowy, that includes money directly from Squidoo as well as other affiliate programs that I use in conjunction with Squidoo.

Wow, great month! I’m thrilled that I’m finally catching on enough to trend up towards/past $50. Time to keep plugging away…

OK…I’m trying to get a picture here…an idea of what the income potential is with Squidoo and internet marketing or are the two worlds apart when it comes to $$$$. I joined Squidoo today. I was taken by the honesty and the concept even if I am confused. I am also a member (11-26-08) of Wealthy Affiliate which I think is an excellant program with, what I believe, has great potential, i.e. $$$$. Should I “play” at Squidoo for the enjoyment and practice and be serious at WA for the $$$? Mind you, I do not believe in “get rich quick” so, I’m in this internet thing for the long haul and want to learn as much as I can but am I missing or misunderstanding the potential of the two or just have to learn how to leverage one with the other? Perhaps just a case of newbie (both areas) confusion?
