It’s a real blow when you’ve got an idea that should work and having put in the time, effort and money it comes to nothing.

Been there myself and the best thing to do is take a deep breath and get back to what you know, at least for awhile, to get your spirits back up.

This Online Life, huh? It happens. Failure, excuses, whatever. You have an excellent attitude! Squidoo is a nice comfortable place to return to. When I first learned of your challenge, I started my own – I figure mine will take me a bit longer but the rules are slightly different…

And I took a detour too – my challenge originally started last November (09) and I just began it anew today, March 15 2010. Stopping before giving myself a chance and not focusing is also a failure in my opinion, and like you I am also not giving up!

Hi Captain,

At the risk of sounding philosophical or even trite, this deemed failure has only brought you closer to success. Remember Edison’s words, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Now, you found at least one way that may not be a viable option. (Who knows … maybe it is and you’re closer than you think.)

In any event, you’re going in the right direction, judging from all your past accomplishments. I have confidence that you will learn from this latest venture, only to realize even greater success in the future.

Obviously, I wish you well in your future endeavors and only hope to follow your footsteps towards financial independence.
