The Quest Begins

Squidoo News
The first lens or two (depending on when you are reading this) of our journey towards $2,000 a month is published and live. As per the rules, they can be found on the ‘Captain Squid‘ account that is freshly started and has no previous ties or history.
Check them out, ask questions about lens structure, composition, tagging, whatever. I’ll follow up with answers.

Hey Joe!
Maybe you could also post about how long the lenses take you – I know you make lenses very quickly!
That would also show people just how much is going into the challenge.
Nice idea btw. Good luck with it!

Great lens – and I love that you’re doing this to help elevate the quality of squidoo lenses while helping people learn to make money. My question is – which modules did you use to create the hydrator lens – what are their names?
Thanks, Laura

Got a question for you…on your Excalibur page, why did you link out to reviews right up top? Those don’t appear to be affliate links.
Good luck with your quest.

Morning Captain!
I’d love to know how you get the word out about your lenses and how you get backlinks.
Thanks!

I looked at the lens; it seems there was a lot of work that was done before you even started writing them can you talk a bit about that? Keyword research, niche and what you did to make them indexed so fast.

I’m wondering if you’re doing anything to promote these lenses outside of Squidoo. Are you writing articles on EzineArticles (or any other article sites) and linking back to them? Are you bookmarking them at some of the social bookmarking sites?
Thanks.

Certainly ambitious in my humble opinion but I will be watching (and attempting to replicate) your efforts very closely!
@KM – good question!
How are you promoting these lenses Captain? I can see just about how you can make a decent lens in an hour, but I spend a lot longer promoting and link building. What are you doing, or do you just leave them alone and hope?

Captain, You said we can ask questions on the chat and PM. Can you publish these to your blog here, becuase there are questions above asked by others that i would like to know the answers to ie the time spent on research/keyord search etc…
