Track your Life with Socialthing LifeStream
Socialthing! just went into Private Beta this morning.
Socialthing is a site which will take your Digg, Twitter, Facebook, Pownce, Del.icio.us, YouTube, Flickr, Last.fm, LiveJournal and Vimeo profiles and combine the activity on your profile and your friends profiles into a ‘lifestream’.
The Lifestreaming concept is still very new and a lot of companies are trying to get it right. Another example of a Lifestreaming site would be Spokeo.
Why bring this up?
I have 10 more invites to the Private Beta and wanted to see if anyone wanted one. If you do, drop a comment and let me know.
Why you should keep an eye on these sites:
a Lifestream is a tricky thing. On one hand, there are some legitimate concerns with seemingly recording every action you take on the web. On the other hand it seems like there are 30 new services every week that people want you to try and keeping track of it all is very difficult.
Socialthing! shows some promise from what I saw, being very clean to use and fast. However, they are going to have to increase the number of services you can pull information from in order to really scale. Still, they have most of the big ones and it is worth checking out if just to see what these kind of websites do.

Hey Captain;
I’m interested in an invite to Socialthing Lifestream.
“a Lifestream is a tricky thing. On one hand, there are some legitimate concerns with seemingly recording every action you take on the web.”
You make a good point but if you’re strategic about what you record at each of the sites you participate in – than it becomes a part of or supports your personal / professional brand image. You have to ask yourself “How do I want to be perceived?” and then script out your image before leaving a footprint in your Lifestream.
BTW – Over at http://www.Coachville.com Coach Dave has a 100 day Challenge Program – which is free to anybody. The program is facilitated with series of daily phone calls with a group to keep motivated and on track along with some tools to create and track your challenge. There is a forum to help with the accountability.
My personal challenge for the next 100 days is to write 100 articles and build 100 lenses on Squidoo, incorporating CJ affiliate program.
Anybody want to join me?

I applied for the Socialthing beta, but if you’d like to zip me an invite that’d be cool too
I’ve been using Spokeo for a while now. It’s kind of an interesting concept, and I’ve found some old friends and relatives with it on various social networking sites.
